FAQ
Eagle Bulk Shipping Inc. (NYSE: EGLE) is a US-based owner and operator of drybulk vessels, providing its customers with reliable and responsible global transportation services for the carriage of bulk commodities including: coal, grain, iron ore, steel, cement, and forest products, among others.
Our fleet is focused on the mid-size asset class, referred to as Supramax/Ultramax. These vessels range between 50,000 and 65,000 deadweight tons and are ‘geared’, meaning they are equipped with onboard cranes allowing for the self-loading and unloading of cargoes. This feature distinguishes them from the larger classes of bulkcarriers and provides enhanced flexibility and versatility – both with respect to cargo diversity and port accessibility.
Eagle’s commercial team delivers reliable and cost-effective freight solutions to customers/partners while seeking to optimize revenue through the execution of a well-diversified and risk-adjusted hands-on approach to chartering. With offices in USA, Europe, and Asia, our chartering and operation teams work with customers and engage the freight markets 24/7/365 while actively monitoring and operating the Eagle Bulk fleet.
Our technical management strategy is predicated on total goal alignment with the commercial team to maintain our vessels and deliver cargo in a timely, safe and responsible manner -- all while ensuring our vessels are operated using a cost-efficient practice over the long-term.
